The star-studded cast of Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street featured Academy Award winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey, as well as a white Lamborghini. In fact, two 1989 Lamborghini Countachs were used in the movie. One was destroyed while filming; the other is being offered for sale.

RM Sotheby's proudly presents the screen-used Lamborghini with an estimated value of $1.5 to $2 million, marking it as one of the most iconic vehicles ever featured in film history. DiCaprio, who portrayed the famed stockbroker Jordan Belfort, drove the white Lamborghini in the movie as the ultimate status symbol of wealth and success. In the movie, one of the cars was driven recklessly by DiCaprio's character while under the influence of narcotics, resulting in multiple collisions. RM Sotheby's commented that the other car "remains in the same condition to this day, solidifying its own place as a Hollywood icon with its now infamous battle scars."

The other car takes centre stage as the featured highlight of RM Sotheby's 'Luxury Week' auction, set for 8 December. Remarkably, this vehicle retains its original New York license plate, the same one seen in the movie, namely 'VKY 722.'

Notably, RM Sotheby's currently holds the record for the most expensive movie memorabilia ever sold, which was also a film-used car. Specifically, it was the iconic Aston Martin DB5, driven by Sean Connery as James Bond in the 1964 cult movie Goldfinger. That car sold for $6,385,000. On 8 December, we will know if the Lamborghini will approach, or perhaps even surpass, that remarkable figure.
