The jewel in the crown of the sale was a Peacock lamp, a motif much loved by Tiffany, of which the example present at auction represented one of the most iconic and beautiful variants. Of an intense purple that fades into lighter shades of lavender and blue, ending in emerald greens and yellows along the lower edge, the lamp – inspired by peacock feathers – immediately fascinated bidders, easily exceeding the maximum estimate and reaching the remarkable figure of $307,500.
