Hôtel des Ventes de Monte Carlo (HVMC) is offering a day full of elegance: On 17 October at 11 am, the auction house is dedicating two sessions to a catalogue of 362 timepieces and items of jewellery.

In the first session, there will be an intricate yellow gold bracelet comprising a series of bridges adorned with calibrated rubies, linked by two rows of diamond-encrusted arcs. The bracelet, approximately 18.5 cm long, weighs an astounding 79.2 g.

Other notable lots include a platinum ring centered with a brilliant-cut diamond weighing 6 carats and a superb round diamond weighing 5.89 carats, presented with a certificate from the French Gemmology Laboratory attesting to its J colour and exceptional VS1 clarity.

For lovers of more traditional jewellery, a Romanov brooch in gold, enamel and precious stones from Roquemaurel Galitzine is sure to steal the show. The brooch depicts the two-headed eagle of the Russian imperial family, and the necks and heads are punctuated with sapphire and citrine cabochons. The wings dotted with small pearls, the eyes are set with rubies, and the talons grasp pearls above a central stone of aquamarine.
The second session will start at 2.30pm and contains 262 lots, including a set of cameos dating from the 2nd to the 19th century, as well as a selection of designer watches.

Coming from the Mona Lisa Gallery in Jaipur, India, this important ‘Tutti Frutti’ necklace forms a colourful ruff of rubies, emeralds and sapphires that flow from a series of white gold links set with diamonds. The faceted and shaped gems are punctuated by baguette diamonds, forming the impression of a lush and multicoloured foliage.

Composed of rubies, sapphires, diamonds and amethysts, this spectacular long necklace forms a series of gems interrupted by gold circles paved with yellow sapphires and diamonds. The cord is finished by two large amethysts, weighing an impressive 140 carats.
Another standout of the session is a stunning rose gold necklace, fully set with round diamonds and designed to have an adjustable fit.

The highlight of the show is certainly this glamorous ring signed by the Franco-German jeweller Lorenz Bäumer. Signed and numbered, the white gold ring is adorned with a 4.21 carat shuttle diamond accompanied by a certificate attesting to its G colouring and its VVS2 purity.

The session will close with watches for both men and women, hailing from major brands including IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines and Audemars Piguet. Particularly outstanding is the ‘Possession’ watch by Piaget, a beautiful ladies' timepiece in white gold with brilliant-cut diamonds, presented with its papers and a travel case.
The two catalogues are full of treasures of every style and from every era, with pieces intended for everyday life or for the most beautiful occasions. The sales will commence on 17 October at 11am and then 2.30pm at HVMC, and the full catalogue is available online.
