With the holidays just around the corner, Dupuis' Important Jewels sale on 17 November is the perfect opportunity to pick up some dazzling pieces to gift the important women in your life. From famous houses like Van Cleef and Arpels and Cartier, the auction has something for every jewellery connoisseur.
Here are the highlights:

The top lot is a diamond solitaire ring set in platinum. The round diamond weighs 5.13 carats, and the shoulders and shank are decorated on three sides by extended rows of round diamonds, all mounted in platinum. The diamond is VSII clarity and boasts H colour. For those looking to propose around Christmas or New Years, here is a great chance to bid on a spectacular diamond engagement ring.

Another gorgeous ring is this pear-shaped light pink diamond and 18k white gold ring. The diamond is 2.15 carats and has clarity SI2.

For those looking for a fabulous antique piece, this quintuple-hinged bangle from 1900 is designed as a coiling serpent decorated throughout with green enamel and accented by scale textured plaque. The head is set with a pear-shaped old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.15 carats, amid smaller old mine-cut diamonds, with cabochon ruby eyes, mounted in 18k gold.

Cartier designed this diamond and gold clip brooch in the shape of a fleur-de-lys in 1945. The three diamond studded in the brooch weigh 2.95 carats total and all is mounted in 18k gold. The fleur-de-lys is a symbol that has long been associated with the French monarchy.

Dating to 1930 is a superb art deco multi-gem and platinum wristwatch, which is elaborately decorated with wavy, geometric and bird motifs including a parrot. The design is finely pierced and millegrained, with round diamonds weighing approximately 5.50 carats, calibré-cut cabochon pink and blue sapphires, rubies, onyx, citrine, and rubellite tourmalines. The asymmetrically-set square dial with Arabic numerals and the band is a black grosgrain ribbon.

Another art deco design is this sapphire, diamond and platinum ring, circa 1930. Set with an oval sapphire from Sri Lanka weighing approximately 13.00 carats, the shoulders of the ring boast geometric motifs accented by baguette-cut and round diamonds, mounted in platinum.

This Van Cleef & Arpels onyx and gold necklace is part of the Alhambra collection, launched in 1968 with the four leaf clover motif, which has since become the jeweller's most iconic design. The collection is named for the Alhambra, a Moorish palace and fortress in Granada, Spain.

Designed by Birks, Canada's top jeweller, which was founded in Montreal in 1879, this emerald-cut emerald weighs 3.13 carats and the shoulders are accented by baguette-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, with the original silver box. Birks is a favourite jeweller of both Meghan Markle and Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
