New record at Sotheby's

This morning, on 3 April 2018, Sotheby's broke new records in Hong Kong as Buddhist Manuscript was sold for £21,656,005! The auction also included a Falangcai Bowl sold for the same amount as well as an Imperial Handscroll for £13,311,858.

The auction included a rare asian clock which didn't just break a world record for an item sold online but it also set a new price record for Germany in 2015 and in Auctionata's history of online auctions.

Fontana tops records at Sotheby's Contemporary evening sale

You could probably hear a sigh of relief from Peder Isacsson, the CEO of Sotheby's in Scandinivia, when Fontana's masterpiece, "Concetto Spaziale, Attese" from the Swedish collection, was sold for £8.4 million, including commission. The total for the evening sale was an incredible £122.6 million.
