Today, there is no jewellery brand more iconic than Tiffany & Co. In 1837, budding entrepreneurs Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young set up their luxury goods retailer, specialising in stationery. Some years later, the retailer's focus shifted to jewellery, resulting in the release of Tiffany's mail-order catalogue - the 'Blue Book'. Renowned for his passion for precious jewels, in 1878, Charles Lewis Tiffany buys a 287-carat yellow diamond; now known as the 'Tiffany Diamond', the incredible jewel takes pride of place in the brand's flagship Fifth Avenue store in New York and was worn by Audrey Hepburn to promote the 1960's film, Breakfast at Tiffany's. As well as being a firm favourite amongst celebrities and royalty, Tiffany's has been the go-to for engagement rings for almost 150 years, offering elegant and afforable designs. Since the 1950s, Tiffany & Co has worked with a number of celebrated artists and designers, including Andy Warhol, Elsa Peretti and Paloma Picasso
